Work by LEPABE team was distinguished with CNOIV 2020
Posted on January 21st, 2020
The article “Towards sustainable wine: Comparison of two Portuguese wines” was distinguished with the prize CNOIV 2020 in the category of Economy and Law, instituted by the National Commission of the International Organization of Vine and Wine (CNOIV), operating at the Institute of Vine and Wine, I.P.
This paper, published in 2018 by the Journal of Cleaner Production resulted from the work developed by a team from LEPABE, led by Prof. Nídia Caetano, in collaboration with Sogrape Vinhos company. In this paper a comparative sustainability assessment of two Portuguese wines is performed. The evaluation follows a life cycle perspective and is based on seven sustainability indicators, selected taking into account the main issues pertinent to the wine industry.
